She'll probably cringe when she reads this but a couple of weeks ago, Stampin' Libby had a great idea and (perhaps foolishly) wrote about it on her blog. I think it has a lot of potential and might even turn out to manufacture some FUN and who doesn't need a little more FUN!? So Libby posted her Texas Tuesday idea with a card and then again the following week with another post and mentioned that her friend Betty is going to play along.
And she told two friends
and they told two friends......
Anyway, I'm going to try to play along although realistically I may not hit every Tuesday. Maybe we'll put together a list of bloggers who want to contribute and every week at least someone will post something with a Texas theme to make up for those who might miss a week here or there. No pressure - it's supposed to be FUN, remember? I really don't know anything about blog lists and have just barely managed to figure out my own damn blog so what I'm trying to say is...
somebody make a list, ok?
At any rate, here is my Texas Tuesday post, although to be honest, it's really still Monday. These photos are not the best but hopefully you'll get the idea. It's really three dimensional at the bottom - sort of an accordion fold but I used foam tape to hold it together. Had I been thinking clearly, I would have left it loose so it would have stuck out more. Here's a close-up:
I was inspired by Shirley's ATC class at Stamp Salado This is one of her ATC's from the class:
She has some great cowgirl clip art in the background but a photo would also look good. Unlike me, she was thinking clearly and left the bottom loose so it would fold out a bit. Really nice! I just made mine larger so that it would be card size.
Speaking of classes at Stamp Salado, here's a pic from Pam's Jeans Pocket Book. Pam and her husband are the clever folks who own Heart Of Texas Studio.
And this is just the front - there are many, MANY pages! It's so cool but I'm so glad I'm not teaching this class - I do NOT have the patience! Pam, however, is an excellent teacher and I'm sure the class will be a lot of fun. I'll be playing tennis that day or kayaking or napping but will be nowhere near Stamp Salado during this particular controlled chaos!
So that's Texas Tuesday for this week. If you are interested in posting your own Texas Tuesday contribution on your blog, let me or somebody know. Maybe somebody will make a list or something and maybe I'll even figure out how to put the list on this sorry ass blog...

Mark - Woo Hoo - glad you're joining the Texas Tues-Step gals. Love your designs! I used it on my card this week - cause it's makin' my wild hair blow!

Great card! I saw this on Libby's blog and thought it was a great idea. Always like to see TX ideas. I came to see you a couple of weeks ago, and wouldn't you know it, you and Sandy had traded days. I'll call next time.
