Yep, it's another Texas Tuesday and I am woefully unprepared. Luckily I take pictures of just about everything I make, not necessarily to put on this blog but because I can't possibly remember. Heck, I can't remember what I did for last Texas Tuesday much less last year! So today I have gone to the vault. These two cards are made from some of my oldest stamps and I think they sometimes get overlooked. Everyone seems to only want what's new. I see it all the time in the orders I get from stores - the bulk of the orders is mainly whatever is new and I know good and well that they are out of the older images. The old images still work, people! And they still sell remarkably well. Since I work one day a week at Stamp Salado, I make sure they are well-stocked in just about everything i sell. Consequently it is my best store and Deadbeat Designs outsells every other stamp line. Even the big ones like Hero Arts. Even Tim Holtz!!! I know! How can that be? Oh don't worry about poor Timmy. He's rollin' in it. Filthy rich. He's got way more of your money than you'd ever admit!
So be sure to check out the other Texas Tuesday players in the column on the left and leave comments on their blogs about how cool their cards are!

Hey Mark, I like both of your entries this week. Things in particular about both caught my eye and I can see some of the stamps I've purchased recently working on them both. Thanks for the inspiration. Have a great day!

I love both cards from "the vault"! My favorite is the first one. I love how you made a background with the small Texas stamp. I may have to steal ... oh, I mean "case" your idea!

I love the little punch out Texas in the second card. I love how you worked in the state quarter too. I may have to CASE that one and send it to my coin-collector Dad.

Both of your cards are super! I love the "oldies but goodies" too! The Texas Forever card with our state quarter has always been one of my favorites. I think I first saw it at Stamp Salado. Thanks for bringing it out of the vault this week.

You "rocked it" again, my friend! Both cards are great! WE are so lucky to be from such a fun shaped state and so glad we have you to feed our Texas addiction!
