Good grief! I can't believe it's been almost a week since my last post! I'm sure I've been busy but I can't figure out what I was doing for 6 whole days! Guess that's life!
At the beginning of the year, I planned on revisiting some of my older stamps, doing new samples, using different combinations, etc. People seem to only respond to whatever is new but the old stuff is really just as good and in some cases, better! So here it is, almost May and I haven't really followed through. Of course, I've taken a couple of wonderful trips, ripped out two rooms in my crappy little house and dislocated my thumb so I'm not without excuses! Nevertheless, here are a few new old cards and there will be more to come soon. Unless something happens.
First up, Rest, Relax, Enjoy. Who wouldn't want that? Now the scale of this card is all wrong - I should have made it square but it is what it is and I'm not going to tear it apart to make it better. Unless I start thinking about it in the middle of the night, which sometimes happens and I know I won't be able to go to sleep until it's fixed. But that's what a glass of wine is for, right?
This is another one that could have been square but for some reason isn't. Colored pencil for the heart and sand and a stipple brush for the sky.
These aren't as old as the others but a store ordered them and wanted a sample card and I didn't want to waste a Kodak moment.
I should have plenty of time to stamp in the next few weeks as I'll be filling in for Sandy at Stamp Salado for a few days. She broke her wrist and wrenched her back in a bar fight last week and will be out for a while. So hopefully I can make the days pass more quickly by getting my fingers inky. Meanwhile, if you want to send Sandy a get well card, here's her address:
Sandra Shaw
Stamp Salado
P.O. Box 113
Salado, TX 76571

You know she's gonna smack you if she reads your post. :) But it is humorous!

Ha! You may just get fired! Your cards are great, Mark! I wish more companies would spend time revisiting stamps that we already have, rather than tempting us with the new stuff all the time! I'm going to be shopping soon - I really 'need' that Cowgirl boot full of Christmas goodies! Story about that to come later! Have a good night....

You should have seen the guy Sandy was fighting! He will be in the hospital for quite some time, I hear. I'm sure you'll do a great job filling in for her at Stamp Salado. Cheers to Sandy!

P.S. Your cards are great! I have both the stamps you used on the first card. Made welcome cards for my two sisters and niece when they came down from frigid Ohio 2 weeks ago.
