Well, it's time for the 6 Tags of Texmas. NOT the 12 Tags of Christmas. That's the other guy. His are amazing works of marketing but for me, 12 tags is just too much. I've got stuff to do and I'm sure you do, too. Despite being fewer and smaller, there are some similarities. Maybe it's me but I can't tell one year of Tim's tags from the next and you'll probably notice that many of my tags look eerily similar to The 6 Tags of Texas which I posted a few months ago.
You can see for yourself by clicking them in the left column of the blog.
Nevertheless.....
Tag number 1... This is pretty much a copy of Tag 2 from the 6 Tags Set. What makes this tag different is the subtle use of the Burst stamp in the background. It's stamped in Rhubarb Stalk but it's the second stamping which makes it much lighter. Also in the backgound is the Weathered Wood Background also the second stamping. The Alamo is embossed with black embossing powder on black card stock and Gold Stickles adds the idea of holiday lights. I added some lights to the Windmill with different colors of Stickles and bordered the whole tag with Cinnamon Stickles.
Liquid Applique on the Texas Santa Hat makes it puffy and then I popped it up with foam tape. It doesn't show up very well in the photo but it gives it some dimension.
The previous 6 Tags of Texas posts provide more explanation but since you guys are experts, I didn't figure you needed your hands held.
Tag 2 tomorrow!
