Hope everyone has survived the holidays, although I guess they are technically not over until after New Year's. While most of you have been having your big fat holiday celebrations, I've been busy making sure that I'll have some stamp-related news to blog about in 2012 (not that I can't and won't go on and on about a multitude of NON Stamp-related pearls of wisdom for your entertainment or disdain). Although I haven't been blogging, I haven't exactly been hibernating. After the first, I'll be sending out some catalogs and hand-stamped samples to a few lucky stores, hoping to entice them into carrying Deadbeat Designs. I know it's hard to believe but there are rubber stamp stores out there who have probably never heard of me! I know! Crazy! But I haven't bothered pursuing too many new stores since, you know, I don't want to be TOO busy! Keeping my business small also lets me give stores more attention, more samples, etc. But, it's 2012 and daddy needs a new pair of shoes! Not literally, but I do have a list.
So here's one of the sample cards I'll be sending. I think I'll make more tall cards this year.
And the inside...
... and the back. I figure it's best to let these stores know that I'm a little goofy.
So what's on my list that I need so badly? Well, I'm so glad you asked.
1. A heated toilet seat. I hate winter!
2. A heater for my closet - on a timer so I don't have to put on cold clothes in the morning.
3. Heated socks so I don't lose feeling in my toes on the tennis court.
These are just the things I'm thinking of at the moment and actually, I can probably afford all three. But then I couldn't complain about being cold. And as they say, comfort is the enemy of achievement so maybe it's better that I'm not too comfortable.....

See? The saying is true. . .there is always someone worse off than you. . .I have a heat vent in my closet! LOL You would never survive the winter months here. Fun card. . .I was trying to figure out where the "kiss" fit in and then it was revealed. Wishing you a very successful and happy New Year! Best, Curt

Well, it made it to the sunny 70's today in the DFW area, so I'm sure it's warm enough in your neck of the woods to slack off a bit and play tennis w/ warm toes for awhile sans heated socks. Happy 2012!
