We're having a cold and wet day in Central Texas so it's a great time to look forward to spring and bluebonnet season! Along with the new dies, I've got a few new stamps coming out in the next few days = if this annoying weather persists it may be sooner rather than later.
Here's the new Texas Wildflower set. It includes 8 stamps, unmounted on cling that are suspiciously similar to the Art Impressions watercolor sets but with a Texas theme. I stamped them on watercolor paper with Tombow Markers and blended the colors with a watercolor brush and some water.
You can also stamp them on regular paper with no water and they look great! I used Memento inks on this card and the new Texas Script die.
Texas is my happy place is one of the new sentiment stamps. You can cut away the bottom as I did on the card above if you have other 'happy places' like the beach or your favorite scrapbook store!
Another of the new sayings, and this one is my favorite. I know that people in other states think Texans are a little nuts but that's ok. Doesn't bother me a bit!
Here's the new Bluebonnet Stained Glass and the Bluebonnet Corner stamps. I embossed the image in black on watercolor paper and used Tombow markers to color and blend. It's a large stamp and lots of fun to color. It would even be good for paper piecing and layering.
And here's the inside of the card using the same Bluebonnet Corner stamp.
These will be in your favorite Texas stamp/scrapbook stores soon and online as soon as I can get to it... a little later this week.
Hopefully today - but I thought I'd get to it yesterday so it might be tomorrow.
Vague enough?
